Southern Technology Group is an managed IT services provider (MSP) servicing small to medium sized businesses.  Our approach to technology services is unique in that we provide pro-active solutions and services in order to increase our clients’ productivity and efficiency while decreasing their down-time and IT costs.  Southern Technology Group and our parent company, Southern Management Services, have been in business since 2000.  Our clients range in size from less than 5 employees to over 100 in various fields and non-profit organizations.

Our History

Southern Technology Group began as an IT department for our parent company, Southern Management Services.  SMS provides support for local area businesses in the areas of HR, accounting, payroll, marketing, management, as well as our technical services.  In 2007, we noticed that there was an increasing demand for technical services from companies who did not need assistance in the other business areas that our parent company offered and it was a natural progression for us to branch out on our own and start offering our technology services directly to businesses.  Having the foundation of being an IT staff first has really helped us be more customer service oriented because we don’t think of our clients as unknown entities that are tied to computers. We believe that our clients feel that we have their best interests in mind and that they have a true business partner in Southern Technology Group.
